The Bank of Tampa was formerly known as Independent Bank of Florida and changed its name to The Bank of Tampa in January 1985. The company was founded in 1973 and is based in Tampa, Florida with banking offices in Armenia, Bayshore, Brandon, Carrollwood, Downtown, Pinellas Division, Sunset Park, Tampa Palms, Waters, and Westshore.
