Privatbanka, a.s. provides banking and financial services to private and corporate customers in the Slovak Republic and the Czech Republic. It accepts deposit products, such as term deposits, saving accounts, and certificates of deposit; and offers loan products, as well as current account services comprising electronic banking and payment card issuances. The company's private banking services include wealth and portfolio services; and individual products, such as above-limit term deposits, various bonds, independent products, and foreign exchange transaction services, as well as banking advisory and personal financial services. Its corporate banking services consist of operational financing, investment financing, bank guarantees, and paid assignment of claims. The companys activities also include domestic and cross-border transfer of funds, administration of customers receivables, opening and confirmation of letters of credit, issue of securities, participation in issuing securities, issue and administration of means of payment, and custody of valuables, as well as provision of finance leasing, guarantees, business advisory, financial intermediation, banking information, and investment services. In addition, it acts as a depository; processes banknotes, coins, and commemorative banknotes and coins; and trades on its own accounts. Additionally, the company offers factoring, forfeiting, and leasing services, as well as Internet banking services. It operates a network of three branches in Bansk Bystrica, Bratislava, and Ko ice; and eight regional investment centers for non-cash operations in Brezno, Nitra, Dunajsk Streda, ilina, Trenc n, Pre ov, Trnava, and Prievidza. Privatbanka, a.s. was founded in 1995 and is headquartered in Bratislava, Slovakia.
